Our Story

Active4All was founded in 2025 by Sam Berry, an experienced teacher and senior leader, who realised that despite it being regularly referred to as a favourite lesson by pupils, the quality and consistency of PE delivery had declined since he began his teacher training with PE specialism. Active4All was born out of a desire to deliver the highest-quality PE provision for all pupils, including those with additional needs that require scaffolding and those with exceptional talent who need stretching and challenging.

Sam spent 11+ years teaching in primary schools across East London and Essex, with the majority of those spent in leadership positions. As a current Deputy Headteacher at an Outstanding school, he fully understands the pressures that schools face and the challenges that come with providing a high-quality PE provision that meets the needs of all pupils. Sam is passionate about sport and using it as a tool to improve the physical and mental health of all pupils.

When he’s not working with schools, Sam loves running, cycling and swimming and is currently training for the 2026 London Marathon.
